Job Purpose
The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:
- Conducting routine lubrication and greasing of machinery and equipment.
- Monitoring and inspecting equipment to identify any signs of wear, damage, or malfunction that may require immediate attention.
- Following Safety Protocols and Guidelines while working with lubricants and greases to mitigate potential hazards.
- Keeping accurate records of lubrication activities, including the type and quantity of lubricants used, maintenance performed, and any issues encountered.
- Collaborating with maintenance Technicians and Engineers to identify equipment lubrication requirements and participate in developing maintenance plans.
- Performing regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure lubrication systems are functioning correctly.
- Maintaining inventory of lubricants and greases, place orders as needed, and ensured proper storage and handling to prevent contamination or degradation.
- Keeping work areas clean and organized by ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and ready for use.
- Troubleshooting and resolving lubrication-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and production delays.
To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
- Certification or training in lubrication techniques and equipment maintenance shall be added advantage.
- Familiarity with different types of machinery and equipment commonly found in the Mining industry.
- Good Communication Skills.
The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and corporate objectives.
